Stoicism

Too much can be wrong. Suppose we transfer the ideas of stoicism to photography. In that case, we may understand that we have too much equipment, too many options, produce too many images and deal with technology instead of what we want to depict.

When in a mindful state, I see exciting things everywhere, such as how the light unfolds, whether harsh, diffuse, or soft. I perceive the peculiar posture of a passer-by during my city walks, as well as suffering, beauty, bizarre structures, the hustle and bustle, and myself as part of all these things. Studying the faces of passers-by, I can discover grief, boredom, joy, emptiness, despair, and disappointment.
