Residences in Bonn

Ah, residential houses, my dear friend! You know, back in the day, they had these houses, ideally for one family, because who needs neighbors, right? But here's the kicker, the rich folks and the not-so-rich folks had different ideas about these houses.

So, the big shots had these fancy-schmancy rooms for showing off - salons, men's rooms, women's rooms, and the granddaddy of them all, rooms for throwing epic parties! Meanwhile, the regular folks just needed a roof over their heads after a hard day's work.

Now, let's talk architecture, shall we? These houses couldn't make up their minds! Sometimes they wanted to be classy upper-class villas, and other times, they were like, "Let's keep it simple, folks." And in between all this, the bourgeois residential buildings of Bonn's southern city tried to find their groove. They ended up stealing a bit from both worlds, but they definitely leaned more towards the villa vibe.
