Portraits in BGC
As a photographer, I am continually looking to develop my skills further. Capturing portraits is one of them. Either as a marketing idea or a way to broaden my business. Good portrait photographers are well respected. And it's an excellent way to turn a hobby into a career. Portrait photography is all about people. How to create the best is a challenge. Of course, if photography portraits were as manageable as yelling 'cheese!', we'd all be doing it. But there's a ton of little complexities to it — the interaction with your subject, the equipment, choosing the right gear, and finding the perfect location. Even after understanding all this, there is the polishing step in Photoshop. I like to set a wide aperture (around f/2.8-f/5.6) to capture a shallow depth of field. The background behind the person is nicely blurred, making them stand out firm. Working with a good model that is capable of transporting her feelings in her eyes, depending on the mood, can be crucial. Fortunately, I found the right model for my portrait session, and we had a lot of fun. I am looking forward to making a different photo series soon.
