“Cinematic” a term I heard a lot, but little explanation was given. What is it? How to get it? What’s it good?

My try at a definition: for me it means movies, motion pictures, films – in short, good old “Hollywood” films.

There are some artistic reasons for choosing the wide specific aspect ratio which is associated with this genre.

There is a bunch of photographers using this look as if they were just taking stills out of movies. A couple of them are based in New York. So I had a look at their images and challenged myself to come up with my own dynamic personal project incorporating my kind of cinematic look. Now I like to share what I achieved.

Regardless if you love or hate this look, I really enjoyed playing with still photography and this movie look, something interesting to look into in my opinion.

In my mind I conjured up terms like creative, artistic, original, expressive, inspiring, imaginative, inventive, and so on. Have a look and may be if you have time give me your opinion.
