Lately our monthly or bi-monthly meeting with the Hanoi Photo Club had been not as regularly as wished. Partly of different work schedule, holidays, extended travelling etc.
As I got some emails from members if we could have at least an assignment in between which everyone interested could take part in I decided to put up some weekly assignments on my blog site. Whoever likes to try it your welcome. If there are questions or if you are in need of some helping advice please take the chance to use the comment section to ask or show your work ( link to your website/Flickr/500px or other account.
Here the first assignment for the first week in August:
Photographing people - Candid Portraits
When making and taking candid portraits people should not have any idea their image are taken. In this case you shoul get the best natural portrait. There are certainly a lot of different approaches to do this. Following I'll list some examples:
- use a long telephoto lens
- hold the camera at the hip
- use a wide angle lens
- pretend to shoot a friend in front of you
- use a camera with a tilt screen
There are certainly much more ingenious ways you will come up with. Have fun, take your lens cap of and got photo hunting.
