Back in Hanoi at 24 degree sun shine and a hazy sky I decided to play around with my gear. Walking around the West Lake in Hanoi I passed the newly build garden landscape which already are full of photographers and their models. This will be largely more crowded as TET the vietnamese New Year approaches.
I choose to take the Sony with my new Novoflex adaptor which I brought from Germany. With this adaptor I can use all of my Nikon lenses and I tried some of them today as I'm not sure how the chromatic aberration or vignetting will effect the overall image. Today I used mainly the 135 f 2 lens and i'm quite satisfied with overall quality.
Thanks to the focus peaking ability of the Sony its very easy to focus precisely. I tried as well the Sony app "Play memories mobile" even as it has not much possible settings it can come handy for landscape shooters to trigger the camera without touching it remotely and for sure there are other things I might come up with.
The Sony app store doesn't have a lot of things and I would like to see some things like time lapse, extended HDR and alike. Will see what the geeks will come up with. There are two more apps there. One for lens compensation which is not cheap. I rather do this afterwards in Lightroom and another one for Multiple exposures.
The last one has a decent price and works excellent. I did play around with it and like the different possibilities. Here some of the images I took today of the garden landscape and a long exposure HDR on top of this blog entry.
