Yesterday it has not only been a fine Sunday concerning the weather but as well a fine day for shooting some portraits. I had the chance to know some young ladies who where willing to behave as models for my fellow photographers and me. What better things could be happen to have a little photo work shop.
First of all we had a meeting at a nearby coffee shop to talk about some essential basics in regarding to shoot portraits as well as how to pose as a model and how to direct them as a photographer. As usual I think the best way to learn just do it and learn from your mistakes. As we where using mostly available light it was an easy going.
One of the big hotels in Hanoi has a very nice Christmas settings and is even lighted in the evening. The best setting you could think about. Models and photographers had a lot of fun as you can see in the following images. I'll like to thank the young ladies for being patient in being directed in the right poses. In the evening we could try to use high ISO settings and a video light to change the mood of the scene, getting the background lights of the hotel and due to the video light as well good exposed faces of the model. Still have to work on this kind of approach as some of the images where shot with inadequate shutter speed.
As well thanking the models I like to congratulate the members of the Hanoi Photo Club in doing a good job and most probably getting more experience in this field of photography. Same same but different work shops will be coming in the near future.
