Time Tunnel in Shanghai

Yesterday I posted some pictures from the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel in Shanghai.  The voyage in this Tunnel is an intoxicating ride on cable cars, which transport you from the Bund side to the Pudong side through garish lighting and surreal props. The ride is about 650 m long and will get you to the Pearl Radio and Television Tower at Pudong.

It is announced as China’s first artificial sightseeing tunnel, which accompanies your ride with visual and acoustic technology. It seems to be one of the new tourist spots everyone is flocking too.

Taking the images with a zoom I played as well around with zooming in and out when actually taking the ride and it has been a lot of fun.

It reminded me of an old TV Series called Time Tunnel from 1966 from the US which is still available on Hulu and AmericanLife I believe.

Nevertheless of my inspirational thoughts it is a funny way connecting both sides of the Huangpu River for the urban tourists in Shanghai.
