xpan and jch 400
Hasselblad broke routine years ago introducing the XPan. Apart from the usual 6x6cm roll-film camera they had for decades, a surprise 35mm camera came on the market but not an ordinary 35mm model.
The Hasselblad XPan II is a unique camera taking excellent shots at outstanding Hasselblad quality. At the same time, you get medium format panorama pictures on this roll of 35mm film. These panorama shots are like medium format quality equal to that of shots produced by a 6x7 medium format camera.
It's to my knowledge the world’s only genuinely dual-format 35mm camera which can take standard 35mm shots and panorama images. What does the world look like seen through this unique camera?
It might take a while to figure out a proper way to frame your scenes in front of you. I used a roll of JCH 400 which seemed a perfect film to use in Hong Kong and to explore the markets here.
