Sometimes you might find yourself in an unfamiliar part of the city with your camera ready; you may question yourself where to begin.
I saw this inspiring red space. I like to invite you to follow my photographic eye as I choose objects which draw me in. See the small details in an unfamiliar surrounding. How to build an interesting scene slash image from this suddenly discovered wall.
So watch and come with me. The red wall and the yellow hammer and sickle at the red wall in Hong Kong acted as a sign from the past. I have no idea what it is about. But the color of the hammer and sickle, the blue left pointing sign towards something that looked like from some old socialist movie. Something about the organization of the street sign, the hammer and sickle, and the red wall makes it appealing to me.
And then there comes an even more unexpected ending. At the end of the red wall, there's an advertisement for some sportswear. And the man in the ad is sprinting in direction of the sickle, in the direction the street sign points.
So this is a picture of red and racing. Racing has become the subject out of nothing. A topic I found because the impulse to explore the red wall. I like to make it, even more, impressive by saying yes to the image in the frame and waiting for something to happen. And yes, the photographic god seemed to think it was enough time spent. A car came driving down the road.
The race is on!
